New Opportunities for Cooperation Between Uzbekistan, Georgia and Europe

On 13 August 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation on the development of a transport and logistics project at the Port of Poti was signed at the Tashkent City Administration. The document was signed by Mr. Sharof Rakhmanov, Deputy Hokim of Tashkent City for Investments, and Mr. Zviad Chkhartishvili, one of the owners of the terminal at the Port of Poti.
For Beltera Holding, this marks an important step in strengthening its long-term partnership with Mr. Paata Daiauri and Georgian investors. Today, this cooperation spans several strategic areas, including the establishment of a microfinance institution to support small and medium-sized enterprises, the development of hydropower projects, the expansion of export opportunities for Uzbek products, and the implementation of international transport and logistics initiatives.
The primary objective of the project is to enhance the capacity of the Middle Corridor, strengthen transport connectivity between Uzbekistan, Georgia and Europe, and improve the efficiency of exporting Uzbek goods to international markets.
Beltera Holding sees significant potential in further deepening economic cooperation between the two countries and remains committed to working closely with both public and private sector partners to advance these strategic initiatives.
